Our dad Thomas died on 21st August 2002 age 47


He died suddenly whilst on holiday so the worst part was we never got chance to say goodbye.

He is missed by many especially his mum and dad brother and sister, partner and his 4 children and 6
grandchildren 1 of which he never got to meet as i was pregnant at the time of his passing.

Our lives were turned upside down that day as he was the nicest man you could ever wish to meet and
the bestest dad in the whole world. He was always there for you through the good times and the bad
and always knew what to say to make everything better.

Dad we all miss you so much but know you were too good for this world and have been taken from us
for a reason. I just wish we got more time with you so you could have watched your grandchildren
grow up and they could have got to know you like we do.

Mum, please listen to me
As I take time to write.
I see parents struggling daily.
Their pain is such a fight..

All of us who have gone on
And left the rest of you behind..
We're ok, Mum, I promise..
Heaven is beautiful, and God is kind.

You used to tell me that one day
God would call and take you home.
You told me you'd make me strong
So I would stand tall when alone.

But things happen sometimes, Mum
That does not go in our plans.
I wasn't scared, Mum,
When God held out his hand.
I didn't want to leave you
I didn't have time to say good bye
When the angels said, 'Come with us.',
There wasn't time to question why.

I've watched you daily, Mum.
It hurts to see you cry.
I don't want you to be unhappy,
Just because we didn't get to say good bye.

Tell the others what I'm telling you,
So many parents need to know
That Earth was just a lay over
We had another place to go.

I know you miss me, Mum
I know your heart was broken in two,
But God really needed me
Because my earthly life was through.

I'm always alongside you..
I smile and touch your hair.

You just can't see me there.

I'm the one who gently touches you
On your shoulder when you're sad.
I'm happy now that you finally found
God again, and are no longer mad.

Tell the parents, Mum, for me

When he called us home that day.

DEDICATION FOR A LOVED ONE

There's a pain beyond imagining
That’s burning in your heart
For suddenly your whole world
Has been cruelly ripped apart.
All words of consolation
Which are bound to come your way

THE SON
On Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at their church, the Pastor and his 10-year-old son would go out into the town, shake hands and share Gods love with their friends and neighbors.

On this particular Sunday, they had plans of selling for a fund raiser they were having to benefit the youth groups baseball team. As it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets it was very cold outside as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said 'Okay Dad,

I'm ready.'

His Dad asked, 'Ready for what?'

'Dad, it's time we gather our things together and go out.' Dad responds, 'Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring down rain.' The boy gives his Dad a surprised look, asking, 'But Dad, don't people still need to be told about Jesus, even though it's raining?'

Dad answers, 'Son, I am not going out in this weather.'

Despondently the boy asks, 'Dad, can I go-- Please?'

His father hesitated for a moment then said, ' Yes, Son, you can go.

Here are the things you need; be careful out there.'

'Thanks, Dad!' And with that he was off and out into the rain.



This 10-year-old boy walked the streets of the neighborhood going door-to-door talking with everybody he met in the street and offering them a little blue bear that tells of God's everlasting promise.

After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking bone-chilled wet and down to his very last bear. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand it to but the streets were totally deserted.

Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the doorbell.

He rang the bell -- but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer.

Finally, this 10-year-old trooper turned to leave but something stopped him.

Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited; something held him there on the front porch. He rang again, and this time the door slowly opened.

Standing in the doorway was a very sad looking elderly lady.

She softly asked, 'What can I do for you, son?'

With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just wanted to tell you that Jesus loves you.

I came to offer you my very last Noah bear which stands for God's everlasting love and promises.

With that he handed her the bear and turned to leave.

She called to him as he departed,

'Thank you, son! And God bless you!'

Well, the following Sunday morning in church, Pastor Dad was in the pulpit and as the service began he asked, 'Does anybody have a testimony or want to say anything?'

Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet.

As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face. 'None of you in this church know me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian.

My husband has passed on, some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart . . . as I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live.

Sitting in my room, so lonely and brokenhearted, I just wanted to lie down and die, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me.

I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.'

'I waited and waited - but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly.

I thought to myself again, 'Who on earth could this be?

Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me!'

I picked myself up and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder.

When I opened the door and looked, I could hardly believe my eyes! There on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life!

His smile! Oh, I could never describe it to you! And the words that came from his mouth caused my heart, that had long been dead, to leap to life as he exclaimed with cherub-like voice,

'Ma'am, I just came to tell you that Jesus loves you



'Then he gave me this little bear that I now hold in my hand.

As the little angel disappeared back out, into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly the scripture which was attached to the bear. Then I was drawn to a shelf that contained a book long forgotten in my house.

Hungry for more I opened the Bible. As I read, I was overwhelmed with the love of God pouring out and covering me.

You see, I am now a happy child of the KING, and since the address of your church was enclosed with this bear, I have come here to personally say, Thank you to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time, and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in Hell.'

There were now no dry eyes in the church. As shouts of praise and honor to the KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated.

He took him in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment and probably this Universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love and honor for his son, except for one:

This Father, God, also allowed His Son, Jesus, to go out into a cold and dark world. He received His Son back with unspeakable joy, and as all of Heaven shouted praises and honor to the King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power.

There may be someone, reading this, who is also going through a dark, cold, and lonely time.

You may be a Christian, for we are not without problems, or you may not yet know the King. Whatever the case and whatever the problem or situation you find yourself in, and no matter how dark it may seem, I want you to know that I just came to tell you, Jesus loves you x

God of compassion, there is such a hole in my heart! Today should be a day of joy, but I feel only emptiness and loss. While the world celebrates around me, I remember Easter celebrations of the past and I long to have my loved one with me. I bring my sorrows to you, Lord, like some odd gift of the magi and dump them at your feet. In my blind tears I wonder if anyone can possibly understand the depth of my sadness.

I know, you can. You sent your son to be with us in our deepest sorrows and I know that even though I might not feel it now, you are here with me, grieving with me, caring for me in my sadness. Dearest lord, help me to turn to the one I miss so much today and speak. Help me heal the loss of our parting and help me not to regret the things I didn't say. Sorrow tears at my heart, but today I ask that my loss soften my heart and make me more compassionate with everyone I meet, so that my loss may become a gift to others

Each year when you are looking at all the beautiful
autumn colors in life I am alive amongst the leaves
that gently float downward to brush up against your
skin to say I am here with you.



Each year when you see the crystal whiteness of
snowflakes drifting downwards I am floating within
them to land on your cheeks and melt my love into
your sweet soul with the kiss of life.



Each year when the birds sing their new songs in the
spring they are singing songs from my heart to you and
the warm breeze you feel on your skin is my breath
of life whispering gently to you that I am here.



Each year when the summers sun brings forth life for
you to absorb I am with you to nourish your heart, mind,
spirit and soul with my loving warmth that has never left
your side.



Each moment of thought you have for me to cherish
in your heart is my life within you to stay for all eternity
and when you awake each day I will be with you in spirit
letting you know that we will be together once again.



Each and every moment when you feel that I am not with
you then observe I am amongst all the seasons of life as
you live daily while I leave sweet kisses through the gentle
winds of life upon your spirit in memory of my love.

TO MY DAD

Dad...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.

What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.

What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.

Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.

Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.

Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.

Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go

~ Where Is My Angel? ~


You need not worry my dear sweet mother for
I am here through heavens guiding lights that
beam loving rays down upon your heart as you
sleep and awake each day.

I dream of you each day while the angels are
gathered around me that nourish my spirit in
your time of woes not knowing where I am but
I am here my dear sweet mother looking down
at you with a smiling tear.

I am here so alive as ever could be while Gods
Kingdom reigns all around me and flows through
out the universe and upon earth as you walk in
my memory of the times we spent together.

You need not cry my sweet dear mother for I will
never leave you because I am all you feel, all you
think and all that you are, for what you are is
what you created from my birth.

The angels that surround me are singing a loving
melody that flows deeply from my heart directly
to yours from the inner depths of Gods heavens
that surround all living things.

I'm all that lives and breaths though the power
of a heavenly being that is so incomprehensible
for now that will become clearer as time moves
forward to the day we will meet and be together
again forever more.

Our father of all creation cries out to your heart my
dear sweet mother and says behold my loved one,
do not cry or worry for I am all that loves and I carry
your son safely in my arms forever more that
will one day be in your loving arms once again.
